What’s Happening at BLCO

 

Buckno Lisicky & Company was a proud sponsor of the MEMORIAL LIBRARY OF NAZARETH AND VICINITY'S annual Touch a Truck event held recently at Bushkill Township Recreation Fields. Our own Cindy Merritt (CPA) serves on the library's board. Their mission is to inspire and enrich the lives of the residents in our supporting municipalities by offering valuable lifetime literacies and a community centric service.


 

Buckno Lisicky and Company’s Karen Hoff (Marketing Director) and Lou LeMaster (Managing Director) accepted an accolade recently from Senator Patrick Browne recognizing the firm’s 50th business anniversary.


 

In addition to sponsoring this year’s LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY'S Light the Night Walk, we had a wonderful showing of energetic Buckno Lisicky & Company team members! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk funds treatments that are saving the lives of patients today. Each year friends, families and coworkers form teams to raise money to support the LLS mission.

Buckno Lisicky & Company holds a dress down day for charity every Friday where employees can donate $5 to dress down. With participation in the Charity Dress Down Day, each employee can submit the name of their charity of choice to receive the proceeds. Diane Moyer of the Allentown office of Buckno Lisicky & Company was the winner and her charity was PEACEABLE KINGDOM. Employees of Buckno Lisicky & Company participated in the LEHIGH VALLEY MARCH OF DIMES RUN FOR BABIES held at Steel Stacks Sunday May, 5th. Proceeds generated by the event are used to support programs that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies and fund research to find answers to the problems that threaten babies. Buckno Lisicky & Company’s Bruce Palmer spoke recently at Desales University for the ASSOCIATION OF FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONALS about the impact of “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017”.

Alex Lisicky of the Allentown office of Buckno Lisicky & Company was the winner and his charity was ALAYNA’S ANGELS – THE ALAYNA VELEZ FOUNDATION (a charitable group formed to memorialize the life of Alayna Velez, who was tragically killed in a car accident by a drunk driver). Buckno Lisicky & Company’s Dave Marakovits was recently presented with the Allentown Rescue Mission’s UNSUNG HERO AWARD for his charitable work at the mission. Volunteers bring essential services to the Allentown Rescue Mission. Each year, thousands of people offer their time, talent, and goodness of heart to outreach projects, and to help make a difference in the lives of the hurting and the homeless. Opportunities are on-going, year-round, and constantly changing. At the Allentown Rescue Mission, there is a place for everyone with time to give.

MILESTONE AWARD – 50 Years
Mary Lisicky presented the Milestone Award to Buckno Lisicky & Company Managing Shareholder Lou LeMaster.

Buckno Lisicky & Company holds a dress down day for charity every Friday where employees can donate $5 to dress down. With participation in the Charity Dress Down Day, each employee can submit the name of their charity of choice. At the end of several months, a charity is picked to receive the proceeds from the dress down day. Karen Hoff of the Allentown office of Buckno Lisicky & Company was the winner and her charity was the STARTING OVER ANIMAL RESCUE (SOAR). Starting Over Rescue Group facilitates affordable spay/neuter and provides shelter to abused, neglected and abandoned animals. Buckno Lisicky & Company helped sponsor the 2018 MARCH OF DIMES SIGNATURE CHEFS AUCTION. Every year more than 15 million babies are born prematurely; a million will die before their first birthday as a result. Sponsors of the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction help fund the research, education, and support to ensure more babies celebrate their birthday. The charity event benefits the Lehigh Gas Foundation — supporting education, cultural and human service organizations.


 

So proud to support the STRIKE OUT CANCER NIGHT at the Iron Pigs. Jeri Blanche Kronstadt, Karen Motsko Hoff, Diane Krause Moyer, Sherry Dauss Sohaney enjoyed a beautiful evening with all those who have beaten and are still battling this dreadful disease! Fabulous Event!


 

Buckno Lisicky & Company was awarded two of Lehigh Valley Magazine’s BEST OF THE VALLEY 2018 awards at Bear Creek Mountain Resort on Monday, August 13th. Bruce Palmer and Karen Hoff accepted the Best Accountant award and the Best Tax Accountant award on behalf of the company.
